Personal Project: Texture / Kettle Chips
PROJECT TYPE : Personal Photo Project
FOCUS : Food Photography, Composite Editing
This project focused on capturing the rugged, crispy texture of kettle chips from GQue BBQ, a local favorite owned by friends. The challenge was in highlighting the fine details—the contrast between light and shadow, the rough edges, and the golden crunch that make texture come to life. (And yes, the actual BBQ was gone before I could even get my camera out.)
About my personal photo project:
This series was part of a personal challenge to expand my food and product photography portfolio. For each session, I chose a theme and explored how to translate it by playing with composition, light, and storytelling. As a creative exercise, rather than a commissioned project, it gave me the freedom to experiment and refine my approach.
